Dr. Wassim Nasreddine

Dr. Wassim Nasreddine is appointed as Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology effective January 1, 2013. He graduated with an M.D. degree from the American University of Beirut in 1990. After which, he completed one of Internship in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland (1990-1991), four years of residency training in Neurology at Case Western Reserve University (1991-1995), followed by two years of fellowship in Epilepsy, EEG, Evoked Potentials and Sleep Disorders at the University of Michigan Medical Center (1995-1997). He was then appointed as Lecturer and staff physician at the University of Michigan for two years (1997-1999). In 2000, Dr. Nasreddine returned to Lebanon, where he established and supervised an Epilepsy monitoring unit and a sleep lab. Until recently, he was the head of Neurology Division and Director of Residency program of Internal Medicine, Vice Chairperson for Academic Affairs, and Head of the IRB at the Rafic Hariri University Hospital. Dr. Nasreddine is a well-trained in the field of Epilepsy and Sleep Medicine, and has a very busy practice. He has 18 peer-reviewed publications, of which he is first/second author on 8. He will be involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellow in his areas of specialty.
